Friday free-for-all

Looks like I missed last week's already. Oops :D

This post is a free-for-all for people to:

a) post links to perfume-related content they posted elsewhere (on or off DW)
b) talk about anything they want to talk about that isn't big enough for a full post
c) socialize and hang out without worrying about "off topic"
d) or anything else that comes to mind!

Ooh, I was going to make a post about scent lockets this week, but you beat me to it--- that is awesome!!!!

When I first went the scent-locket route, I did indeed try the tiny-labeled-bags route, and it was just as faily for me as for you. Right now I just have a locket with a cotton square of Bow and Crown of Conquest (which irritates my skin, hence going the locket route)--- and BOY HOWDY does it last and last and last on the cotton square! (By which I mean that I put it on on Tuesday and it's just starting to fade today!) I am torn on whether I'm going to try to "re-scent" the current square or use a new one. Also, I find that the lockets don't have as much throw, which is actually kind of awesome for wearing "out and about" as it's less likely to bother other people's sensitivities.

Where did you get your scent locket?

It's been a while, but IIRC mine was from Quantum, and they also have diffuser pads.

Ooooh cool. Those are pretty. I might invest in one myself at some point.

I'm going to show you mine because I love it so much, but it's definitely pricier than the (also very attractive!) ones on the site [personal profile] sathari linked to; I think I spent about a year debating whether to actually go ahead and buy it, because I just don't tend to buy jewelry that costs more than I'm comfortable spending on a whim. ^^; But it's the clocket from Black Phoenix Trading Post.

That is seriously cool! Very steampunky. ;)

(Also, is that you holding one of the kitties on your Scentbase profile? If so, such a good picture!)

The clocket makes me so happy every time I wear it. *^^*

And yep, that's a relatively recent picture of me and Claudia! Kas took it sometime in the last month or so.

(Wow, I really need to upload a couple of icons of more recent pics of the kittens. They're so tiny in most of the ones I have up! Look how little Claud is in this icon!)

Yeah, one of the reasons I really like mine is that if I'm wearing it and run into someone who's sensitive to the scent, I can easily just take it off and tuck it away somewhere (assuming the lack of throw, but I don't think I've ever accidentally overscented my locket).
