Yeah, jasmine. It doesn't smell poopy to me, it just smells heavily and harshly floral -- "perfumey" in the worst way. I actually like For Strange Women's jasmine single note, but BPAL's jasmine is usually a deal-breaker for me.
I think I read somewhere that the poop/cat pee thing only happens to some people with indolic notes like jasmine. And some jasmines are apparently not indolic which is probably why it doesn't bother me in Chanel but kills me just about everywhere else.
I love honeysuckle, lemon, and jasmine, so that sounds amazing to me, but for some reason I can't understand, every single freaking BPAL fragrance I have ever tried all stink on me. :( Granted I've only tried about ten, but still, that seems more than anecdotal.
The Black dupe sounds intriguing, but again...BPAL. :(
I've tried nearly 100 BPAL and a good 70 or so of the ones I've tried have smelled terrible to me. LOL Because I've tried such a large sample size, I've developed a pretty good sense of what works on me and doesn't: jasmine is a no-go, their frankincense and most other incense smells like gasoline to me, dragon's blood smells like mildew to me, etc. Most of the scents that are citrus, green, herbal work on me. The lighter it is in the vial the more likely I am to like it.
I think I only have purchased two orders from BPAL and all the rest I've tried are through swaps.
So, I think there's probably some BPAL out there that would work for you, but it's also totally not worth it to spend a much of money to find out. LOL
I think I'm too chicken! IDK. I gave away all my imps, so I've got nothing to swap, and I hate to spend money on more imps just to find that they don't work on me. On the other hand, it's been a long time since I've even made an attempt, so maybe I should go back and have another look. The jasmine one you mentioned sounded really nice.

I only have four untested perfumes in my stash, and then I'm going to make a swaps post and hope some people bite. If not, I'll just do a give-away. No point in keeping stuff I don't like.
