Perfumes to wear while studying:

Conjure Oils: Something Under the Stairs - The jasmine in this actually behaves on my skin, and combines with the leather into something that makes me perk up and pay attention to things around me. Like the textbook.

BPAL: Burning Book - On me, this smells like slightly overdone cookies more than anything else. But it expresses my frustrations nicely.

BPAL: Cafe Mille et Un Nuits - incense and coffee, perfect for late-night study sessions and desperately trying to get my homework done.

NuBe: Carbon - which is just the best sandalwood ever on my skin, and reminds me of comfy leather couches and fireplaces.

I'm taking accounting classes, so that I can sit for the CPA exam. I've been working for an accounting firm for 15 years, but I never got the credential -- which I'm going to need for my next promotion.

Most of the material is familiar, but the firm I work for doesn't do taxes. So the tax accounting class I'm taking right now is kicking my butt mightily.

X-Files - 51. Luminescent, glowing, and otherworldly: green mandarin, neroli, honeydew, white amber, guava, freesia, white and green musks hovering over desert scrub, smashed wood, and the dry, biting scent of night air over the Groom Lake salt flats.

Fringe - Mary Shelley. It was the secrets of heaven and earth that I desired to learn; and whether it was the outward substance of things or the inner spirit of nature and the mysterious soul of man that occupied me, still my inquiries were directed to the metaphysical, or in its highest sense, the physical secrets of the world.

Daredevil - Kroenen. Shining black leather, gleaming metal, labdanum, and myrrh.

Dark Angel - Streets of Detroit. Black musk accord, Ethiopian myrrh, and motor oil.
