Because I actually wrote notes! GO ME. Little Sister Is Watching You and Channel Snow from Kabuki, and Adam, Diamond Star, Hal, In Templum Dei, Quintessence of Dust, There's Water Here, and This Is Your Wilderness from Only Lovers Left Alive
::Little Sister is Watching You
In the bottle - cherry blossoms backed by a hint of something wet and sharp
Wet on skin - Not quite so sharp, a touch more floral
Dry - a soft cerry blossom floral, not too sweet. A little one-note.
Fades out into a sort of soft, warm smell
::Channel Snow
in the bottle: sharp in a resinous sort of way, with a hint of pepper
Wet on Skin: still very sharp - resin and a sharp floral I associate with jasmine
dry on skin: sharpness fades out, and it's warm, resinous, and a touch floral, with slightly peppery undertones.
Fades out to warm resins cut with just a hint of pepper
::Adam
In the Bottle: Leather and resin, all the way.
Wet on Skin: Tobacco and leather?
Dry on Skin: Some of the resins are showing themselves a little, but it's still veeeery leather.
::Diamond Star
In the Bottle: Sweet resinous florals - doesn't have the sharp note I find a lot of resinous stuff has in bottle
Wet on Skin: A touch of the expected sharpness, but HELLO AMBER, I hope you're here to stay for a while.
Dry on Skin: Yes it has, and it's brought some friends to stay. Resinous and warm, like dry wood in the sun. Like Sunbird, but less spicey.
::Hal
In the Bottle: A faint sweet floral over wetter, greener notes
Wet on Skin: The floral is getting a little stronger and somewhat sickly-sweet
Dry on Skin: Less sweet, but still very floral. Not as wet, too.
Floral-ness seems to fade to warm resins as it wears on.
::In Templum Dei
In the Bottle: Dark, sweet resins
Wet on Skin: A faint, wet floral note mixd in with the resin, though not very strong, and some spice notes coming out
Dry on Skin: Warms up a great deal, with the spice notes getitng stronger and the sweet/floral notes receeding a bit.
::Kit
in the bottle - warm, sharp, sweet - like cinnamon and artifical cherry flavoring
wet on skin - still the sharp cherry candy smell, but with a wood-smoke undertone just barely starting to peek out
dry on skin - some of the warm, resin smells are starting to emerge, and it's smelling a touch less cherry, but still sharp and sweet
As it dries, the sweetness fades and the warm, incense-y resin comes forward a little more, though the spicy-herby note lingers
::Quintessence of Dust
In the Bottle: A honey-sweetness, with a little bit of resin and dry floral. Also a really interesting shade of yellow
Wet on Skin: A little more resinous, a little less floral
Dry on Skin: Honey, resin, and wood-smoke. There's something slightly sharp to it that's not entirely pleasant.
::There's Water Here
In the Bottle: WET. A little green, a little floral, but not overpoweringly either
Wet on skin: A touch more floral, but in a light, clean way. Like flowers after rain.
Dry on Skin: Wet, with a slight, not-unpleasant sharpness. Still fairly clean and fresh, though.
::This Is Your Wilderness
In the Bottle: This smells like a headshop. Or a particularly sweet-smelling swamp. Wet and herb-y and a little sharp for sure.
Wet on Skin: The tobacco shows up almost instantly - and strong, in this one, on top of the herb-y smell
Dry on Skin: Still smells like tobacco, patchouli, and unwashed stoner. NOPE.
The two really stand-out ones for me were 'Diamond Star' and 'Little Sister Is Watching You'. Diamond Star is everything I love in warm resin incensey perfumes, and 'Little Sister Is Watching You' is the closest thing I've smelled to my dearly beloved and long-discontinued Neo-Tokyo. The initial top notes are a little different, but they still have that very pure, crisp cherry blossom.
'In Templum Dei' and 'There's Water Here' were my two 'I like this but not enough to buy a whole bottle' ones - particularly as I have bottles of other scents similar to both of them. Everything else was 'don't love, but don't hate' aside from 'This Is Your Wilderness' which is my second ever 'I'm going to wash this off now' scent.

I have heard so many good things about the discontinued Neo-Tokyo. that must be so disappointing to love a scent that's no longer being made.

Yeah, Neo-Tokyo is one of a handful of scents that were really popular but discontinued because of component shortages back in... 2006 or so. And it also had no similar scents still in the catalog, so people get a little neurotic about it.

Usually there's a little advanced warning these days - I can't remember if that wasn't the case back then, or if I just didn't think of how much I liked it (as I bought the imp before it was DC'd)
I'll try LE/DCs if I'm having a meet'n'sniff with people, which sometimes leads me to seeking them out, or if I'm meeting an order minimum on the forum and something looks interesting, but usually I don't go out of my way to try them unless I know I can still snag a full bottle from the lab after.

If I ever went to a meet n sniff, I would probably smell, too. I am weak!!!!!!! LOL
