The Friday Free-For-All
Good Friday morning, fellow sniffers!
This post is a free-for-all for people to:
a) post links to perfume-related content they posted elsewhere (on or off DW)
b) talk about anything they want to talk about that isn't big enough for a full post
c) socialize and hang out without worrying about "off topic"
d) or anything else that comes to mind!

This week, I:
* Got the package from the one eBay auction I won for a huge bunch of BPAL imps and a smaller bunch of imps. Our "to be tested" box (we use empty pipette tip boxes Sarah brought home from work and the imps move back and forth based on tested, one of us but not the other has tested, tried it and keeping it, tried it and trading it, and tried it but I think it needs more aging) is now ridiculously full. We will definitely need another when the following arrives:
* Bought, off the BPAL forums, somebody's giant pile of 98 LE decants/unimpable-scents decants/discontinued GC imps. The price was so low that I actually made the seller re-invoice me so I could at least pay for the shipping, because otherwise I would have felt like I was ripping her off! (She was at the "I can't even deal with these, just get them out of my house" stage, heh.) I am totally set for ages on the "older LEs" front now between that and the previous. (This will not stop me from bidding on imp pile auctions on eBay.)
* Managed to snag a spot in a decant circle for the new Pretty Deadly scents announced yesterday, and the lady who did the first round of the decant circle for some of the Neil Gaiman scents (which can't be gotten in imps, only in bottles) that I snagged a spot in earlier this month is doing another round for another section of the Gaiman scents. This round includes several I really want to try. I am excite.
*
* Started signups for my decant circle of several of BPAL's unreleased/prototype scents! If you're interested, signups will be open until Weds and it's $25 for 5 random prototype scents. (US shipping is included in that price.) I am super excited to try some of the prototypes and I hope more people will sign up so I can have an excuse to order more bottles. Heh.

Oh man. the catalog description of Bard sounds awesome. I love BPAl's white musk and all their wood notes. I bet that would smell good on me too. LOL *adds another scent to the list*
We just tried Druid, and I didn't think it was going to be a favorite but I was so wrong. It smells amazing on me. I love it. Like grass and woods and mint and dirt. Yum yum.

PM me your address. I want to go ahead and send you that imp of Antony. (I also have imps of Croquet, Somnus, Endymion, Thy God-father's Present, and Kerosene by Black Vines for giveaways. I also have a nearly full bottle of Kate Spade's Beauty if you're interested in that.

I got my Fig-Figgety Fig Fig samples from Surrender to Chance and have been experimenting with them. I will post my results on the comm in a couple of installments. The winner so far (in terms of my perferences) is the relatively mainstream Un Jardin en Mediterranee from Hermès.

And remember, mainstream just means a bunch of people like it. Ice cream is mainstream. Because it is awesome. LOL

I've had that book in my "read someday" wishlist for a while, but reading the article made me actually get off my duff and order it :)
