On the one hand, this is extremely off topic, but OTOH, that's partly what the post is for, so... synecdochic, would you be okay with it if I shamelessly swiped and tweaked the wording of this weekly post for a community I started earlier this week? Oooh, that sounds awesome. I love Iago! We got a big bottle of it. And Dragon's Claw is on the list for a big bottle at some point.

I have mostly been getting imps and old decants from eBay. I have quite a backlog.

My daughter is super excited about the ones I let her pick out: Elf through Kyoto. We're trying Elf tonight even though I still can't smell very well because I promised her that particular imp was hers to keep, and that if I like it, I'll just have to get one of my own. LOL

I am trying to stay away from LE and discontinued stuff because I know as soon as I smell one, it'll be the Perfect Favorite of Ever, and I am so lazy. I don't want to have to try to track it down.

I'm going to make a post tonight reviewing all the scents we tried that I haven't written up yet; I was trying to write fic to go along with each, but two weeks of being so sick has made that not so much an option at this point, and I don't want to get too much of a backlog of review posts to make. :)

I loved Anubis, which I think was another of your recs to me. So so so warm and yummy.

This will be our last BPAL purchase for a while though. I want to try some traditional perfumes next.

General question to the group. Out of curiosity and whatnot.

What makes you decide what scent you feel like wearing on a particular day? Do you automatically reach for an old favorite without thinking? Do you decide to experiment? Do you know you've got a long slog through the hours so you pick a light and airy scent? How's it go for you?

Right now, I've got so many new things I'm trying and liking that it's a random grab. :)

It depends on which client I'll be working with and what state of mind I want to inhabit that day, as I dab a little in my cleavage mainly for my own amusement. I've picked a scent to bolster, to cheer, to duel with a smoker, or to complement the weather.

If I'm not working, I'll try something weird or several new thing on my arms.
